Your role:

As a founding member of the stealth startup leadership team, you will drive a multifunctional team designing a cutting-edge lipide nanoparticle (LNP) design platform which will enable the therapeutic delivery of mRNA.

Reporting to the startup "CEO", you will have shared responsibility for the success and growth of the venture.


Responsibilities include:
Build up a team to execute the mRNA vision with capabilities in:

  • LNP formulation
  • LNP screening, including biodistribution
  • High throughput synthesis and analytical workflows
  • Digital and data science capabilities including, but not limited to modelling, machine learning and predictive methods

Key elements of roadmap include:

  • Employ digitally enabled design of experiments, in collaboration with Digital Director
  • Enable generation and structure of large data sets to enable building of predictive formulation model
  • Streamline experimental workflow to maximize data generation and minimize time/cost
  • Design and synthesize novel lipids to enable targeting

Organization:
help build a multifaceted team capable of both lipid design innovation and high throughput experimentation

Laboratory:
equip and organize a state-of-the-art synthesis and screening laboratory

Ecosystem:
collaborate / best practice sharing with mRNA/LNP experts


Who you are:


  • PhD in life science, pharmacy, or engineering or a related field
  • A minimum of 7 years of proven experience in LNP design and synthesis
  • Familiar with Pharma or Biopharmaceutical industry, especially drug discovery
  • Demonstrated experience in high throughput screening platforms
  • Experience with _in vivo_ high throughput screening is advantageous
  • Knowledge on setting up and managing a data lake enabling digital approaches is beneficial
  • Experience managing multifunctional teams across geographies
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and complex projects simultaneously
  • Highly organized, detailoriented, creative, resultsdriven problem solver with demonstrated flexibility and collaborative working style
  • Ability to work effectively, in a global, matrixed organization across multiple time zones
  • Proficient in English
  • Willingness to travel <20% (national and global travel)
