Country Regulatory Team Leader (CRTL) DACH - Learn how you can be our voice in the conversation about the future of agriculture.


Purpose of the role:


  • People and strategy leader for the country regulatory team.
  • Builds and maintains effective, motivated and high performing country regulatory team, that is recognized internally and externally, by the country / regional regulatory agencies and other stakeholders, as a partner of choice based on their credibility, quality ontime dossiers and knowledge base.
  • Identifies and executes on opportunities for value adding network building.
  • Define Best Practices for regulatory intelligence data mining to proactively identify and seek opportunities to shape the regulatory environment at a country and regional level, enhance our ability to navigate regulatory uncertainty, and focus our regulatory strategy.
  • Provide leadership for all regulatory projects and products in operate existing business portfolio and the development pipeline.
  • The CRTL is accountable to facilitate crossfunctional engagement with the country regulatory teams to secure the best route to market for the Corteva product portfolio. Ensures robust regulatory strategies are built taking into consideration country specific needs from a regulatory and Local Product Concept Team perspective.

Your Challenge:

People Leadership

  • Leading a small team of country regulatory managers and associates responsible for the registration of Corteva products across a range of synthetic, biological, and natural product portfolios.
  • Mentoring, issue management and technical support to country regulatory managers and associates.
  • Identify, collate, and implement career development plans for all direct reports. Support an inclusive team working environment.
  • Accountable for country regulatory teams goal setting, goal delivery and performance achievement milestones. Foster working practices of a high performing regulatory team.
  • Work with Commercial Unit Regulatory Team Leader to develop sustainable resourcing plans for the short, medium, and longterm for country regulatory teams.
  • Member of the EMEA People Success Team, actively supporting the development of our EMEA regulatory teams.
Regulatory Strategy Leader

  • Partnering with RAS and other internal and external stakeholders to develop and implement strategic plans to maximise regulatory success within and beyond the region.
  • Regulatory focal point and advisor for country business management team (and crisis management team where appropriate).
  • On time, planned regulatory submissions and priority management of unplanned work.
  • On time, planned country inputs into regional growth investment project concepts and annual regulatory plan of work cycle.
  • Proactive and regular communication on status of country active and product regulatory submission status and developments in national and EU regulatory policy to Commercial Unit Regulatory Team Leader.
  • Facilitate and lead regulatory country regulatory team meetings for sharing of news, views, knowledge and ideas, in conjunction with Commercial Unit Regulatory Team Leader.
  • Fully implement pre
- and post-mortem working practices and probability of success analysis for key projects / products.

  • Engage and build effective networks with internal and external country, regional and global stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement an external engagement strategy, identify key stakeholders in the regulatory authorities and associated industry partners. Map actions for Country Regulatory Team and Corteva SME's to continue to build the credibility of our regulatory teams and scientists.
  • Coordinating and taking part in country industry association membership activities to achieve maximum value and influence for Corteva. Engage Corteva technical experts where value adding.
  • Where appropriate for Country, establish and lead local country regulatory affairs and regulatory sciences networks, with a focus to national requirements, to maximise the working relationship between Corteva functions at national, regional and global level. Teams will be expected to engage on a regular basis with the aim of increasing technical and regulatory credibility and influence both internally and externally. Share new developments
