Non-Life Management Reporting - Controller with focus on IFRS 17 Methodology


In the Division Reinsurance Controlling (RIC), the responsibilities of controlling and management reporting are bundled together to ensure a uniform controlling process.

RIC advises the Reinsurance Committee (RVA), Reinsurance-CEO and the Reinsurance-CFO in respect of the current economics of the Reinsurance Segment and proper allocation of resources.

RIC advises divisional board members and divisional leaders accordingly in respect of their operative units.

In parallel to the Reinsurance Controlling mission, RIC is enabling the global provision of structured internal Reinsurance Data as the Global Process Owner for Reporting.


Reinsurance Controlling is looking for a colleague to strengthen our team in supporting the further development of our controlling methodologies with respect to the impact of IFRS 17.

This role requires (basic) IFRS 17 know-how and has a strong focus on working conceptionally on internal steering for P&C Reinsurance together with a team of controlling methodology experts.


Your job

  • Develop a functional concept for internal steering aligning closely with the underlying concepts of IFRS 1
  • Develop and implement a change management strategy to transition from current internal steering to an IFRS 17 aligned internal steering
  • Involve relevant stakeholders to ensure a consistent and holistic approach
  • Define the system requirements necessary for implementation of the steering concept
  • Cooperate closely with planning workstreams to ensure the alignment within the given planning and monitoring framework
  • Support the further development of the comparison between current internal steering metrics and the IFRS 17 results
  • Contribute to the stakeholder information and decision processes in preparing the relevant documents and presenting them to the project or line management

Your profile

  • University degree in Business Administration, Economics, Mathematics or equivalent
  • Knowledge of the IFRS 17 regulatory framework or the IFRS 17 system architecture, experience within an IFRS 17 Project would be an advantage
  • Relevant professional experience in the fields of Accounting, Controlling, Reserving or Underwriting, experience in Reinsurance would be an advantage
  • Basic experience in project management or working in IT related projects
  • A motivated, result
- and self-driven way of working coupled with a high team spirit

  • Strong analytical and conceptual skills combined with the ability to present complex facts in a clearly understandable and precise way
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Good command of English
