**About the role

We are looking for an experienced Financial Controller to oversee our finance operations in Germany as well as across multiple entities located in Turkey, Croatia, Switzerland, Spain, Greece, and UAE.


What you'll be doing

  • Manage and oversee the finance operations for all regional entities, ensuring compliance with local and international accounting standards, laws, and regulations.
  • Develop, monitor, and analyze financial budgets, forecasts, and reports for the region, providing regular updates and recommendations to senior management.
  • Establish and maintain internal controls, procedures, and policies to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and timely reporting of financial information.
  • Lead the recruitment, development, and management of a strong, cohesive finance team, providing guidance, support, and mentorship as required.
  • Work closely with business partners, stakeholders, and other finance teams to support business decisionmaking and drive financial performance improvements.
  • Collaborate with external auditors and tax advisors as needed, facilitating audits and ensuring timely filing of tax returns and other statutory filings.
  • Identify and implement process improvements, best practices, and finance system enhancements to maximize efficiency and accuracy.

What we're looking for

Essential

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; Master's degree or professional certifications (such as ACCA, CMA, CFA) preferred.
  • Minimum of 710 years of progressive finance experience, with at least 3 years in a financial controller or management role in an international/global organization.
  • Strong understanding of German, as well as international financial reporting standards (IFRS) and local accounting regulations across the covered region.
  • Advanced financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting skills, with experience in using financial software and systems (we use Netsuite).
  • Previous experience in producing Group Consolidated Accounts.
  • Proven experience in building, leading, and developing a highperforming finance team.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong problemsolving, decisionmaking, and project management abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Business level fluency in both German and English.
  • Ability and willingness to travel periodically within the covered regions, as required.

Desirable

  • Understanding of local accounting regulations across one or more of the following: Turkey, Croatia, Switzerland, Spain, Greece, or UAE.
  • Experience managing multiple entities.
  • Additional European languages.
