How to contribute to our vision

As a Senior Technician you will be part of a permanently employed dedicated service team.

You will be able to lead a team and carry out all of the duties associated with the service, maintenance and repair of Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy (SGRE) wind turbine generators.

The role will provide you with challenging and varied tasks, learning opportunities and a good team culture.

Your key role will be to deliver excellent service and MTBV (Meantime between visits) while ensuring compliance with SGRE internal processes and procedures, German Legislation, EHS- and Quality guidelines.

Some of your other key tasks will include but not be limited to:

  • Active safety leadership when in the turbine and in the Wind Farm
  • ensure correct reporting of incidents and accidents, near misses and unsafe acts and conditions. You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with SGRE standards and German legislation in relation to EHS, Quality and Service delivery.
  • Provide coaching, mentoring and leadership of technician teams.
  • To lead troubleshoot and service teams to deliver scheduled and unscheduled maintenance at site to EHS, quality, time and cost requirements.
  • Keep records, maintain documentation, follow safety procedures and report technical and safety issues.
  • Technical lead for the management / delivery of technical queries with Service Technology and field staff. You will be responsible for the remote diagnosis of turbine faults and direct technical supervision of critical tasks as required.
  • You will support Site Management in process improvement tasks within the area of responsability.
  • Development of technician competency and mentoring within area of responsibility for both SGRE and customer technicians; also having direct supervision and support of all technicians in team whilst on site.
  • Responsible for technical and safety documentation production and management. You will also drive and develop Risk Assessments and Method Statements for work packages / tasks. In addition you are developing and delivering technical and safety Tool Box Talk's.
  • Ensure compliance with customer and contractual obligations whilst executing work packages / tasks and ensuring compliance with site rules and regulations.
  • Maintain efficient timescales for delivery of service activities, assist in the creation of daily, weekly plans for site teams and liaise with other field teams on any work package/task progress.
What you need to make a difference

We are also looking for:

  • Ability to transfer with Helicopter for Crew Change and/or troubleshooting
  • Ability to work offshore is a must
  • This role requires good experience working as a Senior or Advanced Technician on the D7 platform or other platforms with the strong will to develope into the D7 platform. You will have practical experience of working with a large range of contractors and customers as well as good understanding of customer management.
  • You must also be able to demonstrate leadership, decision making, and a passion for team development as well as attention to detail.
  • This role also requires you to have knowledge about health and safety legislations, and demonstrating experience in writing and reviewing Risk Assessments and Method Statements. You will be required to participate in all on the job and off the job technical and safety training required by company policy.
  • You will be a competent individual who is able to work under pressure and support and lead a team of service and troubleshooting technicians.
  • Customer focus and a always professional behavior towards clients and colleagues are selfevident
  • Fluent German and English language
