We are a leading international supplier of heavy current technology with locations in Germany, Europe, Asia and the USA.

With a total of around 2,900 employees, we develop and manufacture oil distribution, cast-resin and power transformers, special equipment and compact stations.

Our customer base includes power supply and industrial companies, switchgear manufacturers as well as power generators in the conventional, but also in the regenerative sector.

We are looking for a
Electrical product designer (M/F/d) for cast resin transformers for the next possible date.

Tasks:

Calculation of electrical designs for all types of cast resin transformers of the SGB portfolio, starting with standard twowinding to multiwinding transformers and earthing transformers
Preparation of electrical/thermal calculations analytically or by means of FEM simulations
Ensure compliance with the relevant standards for the designs
Supervision of special tests, e.g. for environmental classes
Close cooperation with the mechanical design, R&D, purchasing and sales departments in the handling of customer quotations and projects
Technical customer consulting, incl. appointments, and consulting of internal departments (sales, production, service, test field, etc.)
Leading and/or participating in various projects for further development, optimization and rationalization of existing or new series
Statistical analyses of measured values and continuous adaptation of the calculation methodology

Your Profile:

Electrical Engineer, with a focus on power engineering, electrical machines or highvoltage technology
Several years of professional experience in the calculation of electrical machines, preferably transformers
Knowledge in FEM analysis
English, in writing and speaking
Confident handling of the classical MS-Office products
Knowledge in statistics and by using Minitab
Willingness to travel
Ability to work in a team and good assertiveness is required
Independent and selfreliant way of working
