Tasks

  • Develop, implement, and maintain the risk management framework and policies for the energy trading desk
  • Identify, assess, and analyze potential risks associated with trading activities, including market, credit, operational, and liquidity risks
  • Monitor trading positions and exposures, ensuring they remain within established limits and guidelines
  • Collaborate with the trading team to develop and execute risk mitigation strategies
  • Prepare risk reports and provide insights to senior management to aid decisionmaking
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies related to risk management

Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, mathematics, or a related field
  • At least three years of experience in risk management within the energy trading sector
  • Strong knowledge of energy market dynamics, trading strategies, and risk management techniques
  • Solid understanding of financial derivatives and their associated risks
  • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to identify and evaluate complex risks
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements related to energy trading, such as REMIT, MiFID II, and MAR
