Name of project:
Technical assistance to enhance value addition, market access and competitiveness of private sector in Namibia in order to promote trade under the EPA

Task description:

The Key expert 1 will assist the EPA Implementation Unit to manage, coordinate, and monitor the project but KE1 should also work on the delivery of specific results such as (among others): SEZ regulation and masterplan and a cost-structure survey for Namibia.

Qualifications:

Qualifications and skills

At least a Master's Degree academic level, preferably in the field of international trade, or economics, or regional integration

In its absence:

an additional 5 years of experience in the field of trade in addition to the 10 years of general professional experience.

Written and oral communication skills in English of at least C2 level.

General professional experience

At least 10 years' experience in the field of trade, especially in policy, or facilitation or negotiation support.
At least 6 years of experience in project management.

Specific professional experience

At least 3 years of experience in trade negotiation support or trade agreement implementation.
Experience with EU trade agreements including EPAs.
At least 3 years of experience in capacity building or training.
Experience with Southern Africa economies, and especially of the Namibian one will be an asset.
Experience with the SADC-EU EPA will be an asset.
