- Support team with setting challenging target cost commitment to facilitate project acquisition phase
- Provides support and guidance in communication with Product Line Management to understand and influence the Product Line Strategy and priority setting
- Creates visibility for the NPI road map to communicate the Product Line future requirements, goals & objectives. Responsible to facilitate awareness and gap closure accountability within the different Procurement Functions
- Accountability for New Product Introduction on-time and in budget and support for necessary escalations to achieve customer timing and Projects Financial targets
- Promotes cost reduction initiatives using typical Procurement leverage such as incremental volume or VA/VE opportunities in order to maximise product line Operating Income
- Ensures compliance with TE Supply Chain strategy regarding low inventory, lean value streams and days of payables outstanding
- Ensures compliance with TE Competitive bidding policy and Commodity strategies
- Participates in negotiations with a significant impact to meet project financial targets
- Identifies and drives process improvements initiatives through the alignment with cross-functional partners and functional owners
- Coaches and directs team members
- Develops and ensures talent retention using the appropriate development framework and creation of a succession plan to permit a dynamic career development within the group
- Accountable for the achievement of the NPI Procurement KPI scorecard
- Bachelor degree in Economics or Industrial Engineering or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Automotive Industry
- Several years of experience in Procurement
- experience in a technical field, e.g. process engineering, product engineering, tool manufacturing is an advantage
- Extensive experience in working with multicultural and cross functional teams
- Experience in leading multiple direct reports including indirect and functional reporting. International team leadership is an advantage.
- High level expertise in procurement competencies – e.g.: business / supply chain acumen, negotiation, sourcing strategy development and execution, project / product lifecycle management)
- Ability to work in a matrix environment with multi-cultural team.
- Good communication and presentation skills, project management experience preferred
- Advanced knowledge in the use of SAP and Microsoft Office, i.e. Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint
- Driver's license class B
- Fluent German & English (negotiation level), other languages are a plus

Job Overview
TE Connectivity's Purchasing Teams are responsible for obtaining materials, components, equipment and services, gather quotations, examine bids, and award contracts. They perform cost analysis and volume planning for commodities, evaluate vendor reliability and develop new supply sources where required. They coordinate purchasing activities with the manufacturing and engineering departments to maintain inventory at planned levels and monitor cost, schedule, and scope of assigned subcontracts to assure best quality at best value. They also look for and recommend cost saving proposals including make vs. buy analysis, alternative sourcing, and vendor evaluation criteria as well as develop specifications for new contract orders.Main tasks:
