Our client is a Japanese manufacturer of parts for the automotive industry. For its location in Wolfsburg, the company is currently looking for a Strategic Purchaser (M/F/d).

Ihre Aufgaben:

Observation and analysis of procurement markets
Initiation and implementation of procurement transactions after coordination with suppliers
Carrying out target/actual comparisons (deviation analysis, cost control) during project realisation and initiating countermeasures in case of target deviations
Further development of established global purchasing strategies
Selection, development and maintenance of strategic suppliers as well as negotiation, preparation and conclusion of supply contracts
Preparation of cost analyses and negotiations based on offers from suppliers
Promotion of purchasing activities in cooperation with other locations

Ihre Qualifikationen:

Extensive professional experience as a strategic buyer in the metal industry, preferably in the automotive sector
Fluency in both written and spoken German and English
Technical knowhow
Deep knowledge of cost factors (preferably in the automotive sector) and costing procedures
Experience with business to business contracts
Strong negotiation skills and a confident appearance
Intercultural awareness
Willingness to travel
Drivers licence
