Your role and team:

You will report directly to the Production Team Leader and work alongside our aircraft systems production team.

The Final Assembly team takes care of all final assembly processes, including the installation and testing of components and sub assembly systems to the aircraft.

We are looking for an experienced and self-motivated technician. A high attention to detail and a strong focus on safety are very important attributes for this role. You will be hands on in building Lilium's revolutionary jet aircraft, assembling, testing and repairing associated components/sub assemblies. You will also partner with our manufacturing engineering team, providing feedback for design improvements to the product.

Your Day to Day:


  • Work in a selfdirected team of systems technicians and electricians
  • Take responsibility for safety, delivery and quality during all stages of the assembly process
  • Follow drawings/work instructions and project plans
  • Assembly of electrical wiring systems
  • Proceeding ground test instructions and failure detection & correction
  • Operate a variety of hand tools, power tools, diagnostic and measuring equipment (including DMMs and oscilloscopes)
  • Following drawings and work instructions closely during the assembly of components and raising any issues
  • Assembly/modification of tooling and fixtures
  • Take responsibility for maintaining an inventory of parts, tools and equipment
  • Troubleshooting and feedback of errors to the corresponding teams, cooperation for root cause analysis
  • Implement and sustain manufacturing data of the production system
  • Work cross functionally with related departments
- work with Manufacturing Engineering to improve processes, equipment & tooling, and repair solutions
- improve manufacturing standards and process requirements
- support digital improvements and innovations while working with manufacturing execution systems

  • Assist technology acquisition and new factory/equipment installation & commissioning

Your Profile:


  • Educational background/apprenticeship as an avionics technician / electrical technician, within aviation, automotive or power electronics industry
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacture and/or repair of electromechanical components including systems with medium or high voltages
  • Willing to work with low voltage electrical components
  • Must be able to work from complex and detailed documentation and/or verbal and written instructions depending on situation
  • High level of selfreliance with the ability to work both in a team and autonomously
  • Targetoriented work approach with analytic problemsolving skills required
  • Experience with electrical wiring systems, testing and fault finding in an aerospace environment would be highly regarded
  • Quality Inspection experience would be highly regarded
  • Knowledge/experience of working safely around battery systems would be highly regarded
  • Good English language skills are required, German language is a plus
