At our largest European production site in
Wesseling/Knapsack near Cologne, we are looking for a

Communication Advisor (M/F/d)**
Responsibilities & Accountabilities

Act as the first level interface between German sites and external stakeholders such as local media, local authorities, communities or environmental associations;
Develop and maintain up to date the Crisis Management Communication plan for German sites, train the emergency response team and lead the local crisis communication team during any technical incidents, social events, environmental issues impacting German sites;
Develop plans together with site management to spend charitable contributions budgets for the German sites in line with Corporate Advancing Good strategy;
Support local Government Relations activities as needed in collaboration with Government Relations;
Preserve and enhance the reputation of the company around its German sites. Support the full range of Corporate Communications strategies and tactics as needed, including stakeholder engagement, media relations, employee communications, social media, social investment and communications measurement.

Qualifications

Min Bachelor's Degree required;
Minimum 5 years of professional experience in related fields;
Fluent in German and English (verbal and written);
Ability to identify and build strong working relationships with public officials and other key stakeholders in the region;
Petrochemical, oil/gas, polymer industry experience is a plus.

Skills

Must demonstrate excellent interpersonal communication and presentation skills, both oral and written
Demonstrates strong organizational skills, the ability to be detailoriented and set priorities to meet deadlines
Effective business partner with strong stakeholder / client engagement, media relations and reputation management capabilities
