The FP&A Lead, Europe for Consumer Health is responsible and accountable for the finance reporting, analysis and effective decision support of the Consumer Health business in European Markets.

The incumbent will report to FP&A Lead for Global Consumer Health and provide strong business partnership to the commercial leaders including Alliance Lead - Europe and Head of Marketing - Global Cx and Head of Commercial - Global CX.


Collaborate closely with other finance leaders across the organization and with other functional leads, the incumbent will take ownership of information and analyses required for financial planning and decision-making.

In addition, accountabilities include the provision of commercial day to day operational support to the consumer health business as they relate to budget management, investment, sourcing, cost reduction, cost benefit analysis, and forecasting needs.

Main Responsibilities

Infrastructure Setup

  • Support the infrastructure set up for the Consumer Health division finance team
  • Support the implementation and process optimization of new and existing systems to get accurate and timely data
  • Evaluate and build cost effective transaction flow for the new business unit
  • Work with carve out lead for the effective and eventual separation of the global Consumer Health business
Business Planning

  • Business partner to the Alliance Lead for Europe Commercial and the direct reports
  • Work alongside other finance teams to assist with all facets of strategy development, business planning and financial analysis and appropriate capital management
  • Support the local sales for the core strategic brands
  • Lead/coordinate timely completion of the annual budget and forecasts for Consumer Health
  • Lead gap analysis process and recommend and support corrective action initiatives
Business Process Control

  • Business process maintenance, analysis and improvement
  • Ensure appropriate governance and controls are in place across the organization, monitored and carried out in full compliance with corporate policy
  • Advise business directors and department managers on critical financial issues, as needed
Financial and Management Reporting

  • Ensure timely reporting of weekly/monthly/quarterly/yearly financial results to stakeholders in the Consumer Health business
  • Effective monthly management reporting (P&L/Balance Sheet/Cashflow/Working Capital analysis) and support the stakeholders to run the business
  • Collaborate closely with global infrastructure (Foundation) team to drive correct set up and reporting for Consumer health
  • Analysis of the sales, margins & expenses to ensure alignment with the budget and longerterm business plan
  • Analysis of the working capital (WC) and cash flow to see how to optimize the business, lead the WC improvement projects to achieve the target
  • Specific focus on improving Inventory and Gross to Net related KPIs, working in partnership with Supply Chain
  • Project budget and spending reporting, play a role in keeping a robust S&OP process in business
  • Nonoperating working capital management and guidance
Routine Business

  • Overall management of Consumer Health financial activities
  • Assist in evaluation of the business projects and initiatives
  • Work/liaison with the relevant corporate tax, legal, treasury, site financial controller to address legal entity/financial operation issues affecting the Consumer Health business
  • Establish & maintain good relationship with Market Finance teams and ensure effective coordination per business development needs
External Rules and Legal affairs

  • Tax & legal affairs compliance
  • External audit and statutory reporting to be compliant with the law, timely close all external/internal audit points
Direct Team Management

  • Play a lead role in improving the strength of finance talent within the organisation; recruit and develop (as applicable and needed by the business)

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Degree in Accounting
