Non-destructive testing of Type 4 pressure vessels for the hydrogen economy via acoustic emission analysis
NPROXX is a global leader in designing, developing and manufacturing Type 4 pressure vessels for the storage of hydrogen under high pressure.
Your tasks
- Describing the state of the art of acoustic emission (AE) analysis for carbonfiber reinforced structures (in detail for pressure vessels)
- Conception and realisation of an AEanalysis test setup
- Development of a standardised and automated test procedure (incl. data evaluation)
- Analysis of AE in hydrostatic and hydrodynamic pressure tests of Type 4 pressure vessels
- Evaluation of test results and correlation with quality features of the pressure vessels
Your profile
- Degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, materials science or comparable
- Experienced in analysis of materials and components
- Good understanding of hardware (sensors), implementation and data evaluation
- A high degree of selfmotivation, drive, confident and determined approach
- A high degree of teamwork, motivation, resilience, thoroughness, reliability and analytical skills;
- Good written and spoken English knowledge and German.
