Advisory Service Team Leads

within our Clean Energy Consulting team based in Hamburg.

Wood is a trusted advisor to lenders and investors across the Clean Energy market globally.

In particular the Hamburg team have a track record of performing LTA and M&A services in offshore and onshore wind and PV internationally including established and new markets.

The Team Lead will have the opportunity to lead a team across one or multiple Renewable Energy sectors including but not limited to; onshore and offshore Wind, Solar PV, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and Hydrogen.

The Role

As the team lead you will report directly into the Operations Manager for the German entity.

You will have line management responsibility for a small group of consultants within the Advisory Services team.

Central to this is managing and monitoring your team's performance and development, with responsibility for recruitment and retention across your area.

Part of this will include acting as a mentor for the less experienced team members and using your experience to review and add to training materials for everyone.

You will also work closely with the operations manager to support in defining the growth strategy for the German entity, identifying potential opportunities across the Clean Energy sector and ensuring you are suitably resourced to support this.

Key to this role will be the quality assessment of deliverables produced by the team incorporating your industry experience with a meticulous eye for detail.

As a Team Lead and specialist in your field you will take on the responsibility of Project Director and / or Project Manager conducting technical due diligence across a portfolio of assignments assessing the techno economic viability of clean energy projects on behalf of our clients.

This will also include being the main focal point for clients.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Typical responsibilities

Manage a small team of consultants within Advisory Services team, responsible for all aspects of development, retention and recruitment

Act as project director for projects

Review / authorise due diligence reports produced by the team

Assess renewable energy projects on behalf of lenders, investors and other project stakeholders

Manage multi-discipline teams of engineers and other technical staff in the completion of due diligence assignments for exacting clients requirements


In the role of project manager:
Act as main interface and manage the relationship with clients

Manage the financial performance of projects your projects

Deliver tasks on time, to budget and to the required standard

Comply with internal systems and processes for project management governance

Attend client meetings and undertake site visits within Germany and globally as required
