Your tasks:


  • Defining and facilitating the implementation of a vision and strategy for Global Technology & Data and selected strategic initiatives, e.g. Bitergo acquisition and postmerger integration process, and China4China activities in alignment with the relevant IT&D departments.
  • Defining and tracking the roadmap for the implementation of the digital strategy including continuous alignment with functional and technology related strategies.
  • Creating customer journey analytics and customer, competitor, partner and market analyses.
  • Engaging in internal and external opensource communities to push DB Schenker's open source strategy.
  • Establishing an internal consulting team to support all initiatives and activities in GTD scope as virtual team / community of employees from GTD units.
  • Facilitating the development of use cases, proofs of concept, the continuous modernization of the tech backbone and logistics processes, and the digital operating model.
  • Identification and driving the development of the required competencies to realize the digital vision and ambition of DB Schenker.
  • Community management for the virtual business and IT consulting unit / community.
  • Managing, tracking and reporting on the digital strategy execution.
  • Driving, supporting and/or managing strategic digitalization and innovation topics.
  • Evaluation and prioritization of demands, projects, initiatives, proofs of concept, and other activities related to digitalization and innovation.
  • Tracking the realization of projects, initiatives, and innovation activities related to the digital strategy.

Your profile:


  • Several years of practical industry experience in a position responsible for digital transformation with exposure to top management. Sensitivity to the importance of stakeholder engagement and change management.
  • Familiarity with established and emerging technologies (e.g., data analytics, AI, digital twins, automation) and demonstrated ability to leverage them in order to tackle concrete business problems
  • Strong conceptual skills and innovation attitude, passion to learn new approaches and technologies
  • Passion for leading, coaching and developing a team
  • Clear and succinct verbal and written communication skills in English and preferably also German
  • Strong presentation skills, to both technical and business audiences
