At the
Friedrichsdorf site, Valeo Telematik and Akustik GmbH develops and manufactures innovative communication electronics for intelligent telematics, in order to network telecommunications, navigation, positioning and information technology and to increase driving comfort and traffic safety.

Mission:

Responsible for controlling the project cost and implementing standard costing models.

• During RFQ phase his role is to secure accurate CAA (business case budget); This includes to challenge, verify and control the forecasted costs for the CAA elaboration.
• During project execution his role is to minimize the deviation from the budget and ensure that the project is completed within the approved CAA.

Responsibilities:

• Monitoring and analyzing costs: BOM, tooling, as well as industrial and R&D CAPEX.
• Cooperate with project managers to support them during the CAA elaboration.
• Cooperate with project managers to support them to meet CAA targets.
• Accountable to establish costing models and break down by block function.
• Accountable to implement standards tools and automatic bridges between internal CAA and customer's Cost Break Down sheets.
• Moderate design to cost (DTC) activities.
• Coach and spread the mindset for continuous search of cost reduction opportunities.
• In full coordination with the project manager consolidate, investigate and challenge any cost reduction ideas and opportunities.
• Anticipate, investigate and challenge unprofitable variance and losses.
• Challenge cost impact of any internal or external technical change.
• Challenge any price change on existing components, tooling or CAPEX both industrial and R&D.
• Cooperate with purchasing to review suppliers cost breakdown and challenge them.
• Developing and maintaining financial reporting procedures and systems to monitor variance between CAA target and actual figures.

You inspire us with:

• Electronic or electrical engineering degree.
• Very good excel and VB capabilities
• Basics finance skills: GM, OM, EBIT, EBITDA, NPV, IRR
• Strong analytical thinking and communication skills.
• Ability to learn, curiosity and research skills.
• Leadership and assertiveness
• Languages: English Must, German preferred
