Job Mission

The tax compliance and asset accounting specialist will be part of the Finance team in Berlin and has the Corporate Tax department in Veldhoven as a business partner.

The primary goal is to execute the external and internal tax-related processes effectively and efficiently for ASML Berlin and other German group companies.

Part of this job is continuously increasing the efficiency of the current processes.


Your tasks :
(Co-) responsible for:


  • Contribution to the worldwide ASML Tax line process (forecasting annualized Effective Tax Rate (ETR))
  • Tax accounting questions/issues, closing process, critical review of uncertain tax positions, and data collection for tax audits and or new rulings
  • Tight alignment with the capital efficiency controller about the monthly asset capitalization, monthly implementation of an (digital) asset counting process
  • Alignment with the G/L accountant responsible for month end closing activities
  • Analyzing tax reporting implications of changes in accounting standards
  • Determination & monitoring of tax positions of German entities for local GAAP purposes
  • VAT compliance and reporting activities for ASML Berlin
  • Other tax compliancerelated matters such as withholding taxes, property taxes
  • Contributing to German tax audits and information requests from German tax authorities
  • Ensure SOX compliant Tax management process
  • Highquality service to internal and external clients: on time, accurate and within limits flexible
  • Working with highly demanding business partners

Your qualifications:


  • Minimum 5 years of experience in (internationally oriented) comparable positions/ or 5 years of Big four experience
  • Knowledge of applicable tax accounting rules (US GAAP / IFRS) and understanding with taxrelated compliance processes
  • Deep knowledge about requirements of asset capitalization
  • Deep knowledge about asset accounting of different kind of assets (buildings, land, tools, machines, etc.),depreciation, subsidies for assets

  • Eagerness to understand ASML Berlin business processes to be able to translate it into accounting policies and tax requirements
  • Good analytical, communicative, and social skills.
  • Professional and ambitious attitude
  • Strong understanding of financial accounting processes
  • Capable of coworking with team members while maintaining a highlevel overview
  • Ability to build relationships with colleagues in other countries
