About the Role:
We are looking for a Fabrics Product and Chemical Steward (f/m/d) to join our team.

In this role, you will provide expertise on chemicals, regulations, material composition and material chain of custody to enable businesses to develop, make and sell products globally.

You will support the Global Fabrics teams to identify, initiate, develop and implement operational and business processes to identify opportunities, assess and manage risk to assure that our Fabrics products follow legal requirements and also meet industry, customer and Fabrics Divisional expectations.

This position will be located at our facility in Putzbrunn near Munich, Germany.


Responsibilities:


  • Aligned with Enterprise strategy, develop, integrate and support operational processes to consistently manage Product and Chemical Stewardship risks within the Fabrics Division (compliance strategy)
  • With the other Fabrics Steward accountable for ensuring compliance with Oekotex Standard 100 and bluesign
  • Develop and maintain a fundamental understanding of raw and supplied materials used to produce the products, manufacturing processes and markets where products are sold to ensure product safety compliance throughout the product lifecycle
  • Partner with multiple stakeholders to obtain information on Fabric products to facilitate compliance activities (e.g. procurement, suppliers, new product development, Product Specialists, Quality, Process Engineers, Legal)
  • Identify, understand and monitor emerging regulatory, market and industry trends, determine applicability, conduct risk analysis and advise businesses on potential PaCS issues and recommendations to resolve
  • Translate regulatory, compliance and market knowledge to product needs and create comprehensive plans of action to deliver superior business solutions
  • Prepare correspondence as needed e.g. compliance declarations, supplier surveys, product safety information
  • Engage with external stakeholders and partners to understand industry standards and trends and support product testing and certification
  • Contribute to the development, implementation and continuous improvement of PaCS functional processes in alignment with Enterprise and Divisional standards as applicable, (e.g. stewardship assessments of new chemicals)

Required Qualifications:


  • Minimum 5 years experiences in a regulatory role, with a working knowledge of chemicals/chemistry
  • Experience or demonstrated ability to understand global chemical and product regulations and industry standards (bluesign Oekotex)
  • Active communicator with excellent written and verbal communication and documentation skills
  • Proven problemsolving skills, including incident investigation and root cause analysis
  • Actively engage and build partnerships broadly across the value chain (e.g. procurement, suppliers, new product development, Product Specialists, Quality, Process Engineers, Legal)
  • Effectively lead yourself and effectively contribute in a global, virtual team environment
  • Ability to drive completion of multiple projects and priorities with competing resource needs
  • Ability to influence a diverse group of stakeholders
  • Strong ability to recognise IP and other different waterlines
  • Ability to travel 20%

Desired Qualifications:


  • Experience in têxtile/apparel manufacturing related fields
