Key Tasks and Responsibilities:


You will have the following responsibilities:

  • Provide logistics expertise and support to the design and development of Starlab logistics and maintenance concept in an integrated and collaborative fashion, supporting design, development, and preparation of deliverables;
  • Contribute to Starlab Mission ConOps and OpsCon definition and refinement
  • Define logistics concepts and scenarios:
  • Traffic scenario including upload, download, and disposal needs;
  • Cargo transfer scenarios onground and onorbit;
  • Inventory Management System (IMS);
  • Define maintenance concept and scenarios:
  • Corrective and preventive maintenance, e.g. ORU versus LRU concept and/or insitu repair;
  • Inspection and housekeeping;
  • Maintenance and spares planning;
  • Support definition of ground processing, transport and launch/landing site support;
  • Inputs for the Training Process regarding maintenance;
  • Maintain the Starlab Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) Plan;
  • Contribute to associated RFIs/RFPs;
  • Participate in program reviews;
  • Coordination with other logistics teams, e.g. NASA, Commercial Crew Transport and Cargo;
  • Perform other duties as agreed and required.

Skills & Experience:


You will have the following qualifications and relevant experience:

  • University degree in aerospace, electrical/mechanical engineering, computer science (or equivalent);
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in the field of spacecraft operations/engineering, preferably with a focus on logistics and maintenance support;
  • Experience with Systems Engineering processes, techniques, e.g. with Model-Based
  • Systems Engineering (MBSE) and tools (e.g. CAMEO), Requirements Engineering and tools (DOORS, JAMA);
  • Knowledge of spacecraft systems and subsystems architectures and mission support concepts;
  • Experience with mission planning, spacecraft commanding, trending, and analysis;
  • Ability to define and support programmatic aspects like engineering schedule and risks;
  • Working knowledge of anomaly resolution process;
  • Ability to generate and review technical documentation, e.g. SPECs, IRD/ICD;
  • Basic knowledge of computeraided design (CAD);
  • Ability to support integration and test activities on hardware and software;
  • Fluency in English is mandatory; knowledge another European language is an advantage.
