IsraAID Germany e. V.

is a non-political humanitarian aid organization that works in and outside Germany to support people who have experienced suffering and emergency situations.

Our various projects use a holistic working methodology that combines psychosocial support, empowerment work and, in particularly acute emergency situations, humanitarian aid deliveries to help affected people transition from crisis to reconstruction, rehabilitation and a sustainable way of life.

Our work is carried out by a multicultural team of specialists.

For our project "Navigation Baden-Württemberg" we are looking for a specialist for 20-40 hours per week from to provide psychosocial support for refugees in Ukrainian, Russian, Arabic or Farsi.

This is a temporary position until with the possibility of a potential extension.

The advertised position offers excellent opportunities to gain an insight into the work of a professional humanitarian aid organization in the areas of emergency aid and trauma.

You will be part of an interdisciplinary team of social pedagogues, psychologists and psychotherapists and help with the psychosocial support of refugees.

In Freiburg, you will work closely with the experts at a psychosocial center.

Aufgaben

Psychosocial counselling, crisis intervention and stabilization of refugee adults in individual and group sessions and open consultation hours in the psychosocial counselling center and in cooperation with actors in the support system
Training: Identification of training needs, planning and implementation of workshops and capacity building activities for external service providers and in coordination with the organization and team members. Creation of work plans, documentation of activities and processes
Close cooperation with the psychosocial center and the respective reception

facilities

Documentation and evaluation
Participation in project team meetings and overall team meetings
Close cooperation with the project coordinators
Exchange and consultation with the organization's professional circles

Qualifikation

Studies: psychotherapist, psychologist, etc.
Knowledge and practical experience in trauma therapy, trauma pedagogy, especially for posttraumatic stress disorder and depression or systemic counseling
Ukrainian, Russian, Arabic or Farsi on a business fluent basis
Fluent English or German (B2)
Experience in working with refugees and/or in a humanitarian context is an advantage
Ability to work in a team, close cooperation with the project teams
High degree of independence, structured way of working, reliability and great interest in working in a culturally diverse environment
Willingness to work in a dynamic context
