I'm currently recruiting for a Human Resource Business Partner (HRBP), for an American-British visual media company that is a supplier of stock images, editorial photography, video, and music for businesses and consumers, with a library of over 477 million assets.

It targets three markets—creative professionals, the media, and corporate.


Mission
Your mission will be to support all EMEA country needs, with specific focus for our German market.

The role will also provide business partner support for our EMEA Sales function and provide country level expertise across EMEA.

In this role, you will report to the Director, HR Business Partner.


Your everyday

  • Own the country specific employment process in our German market, along with broad based EMEA country support across eight additional countries.
  • Explain German employment law practices and partner with other HRBPs in the team to ensure all employees are being treated fairly and consistently within the EMEA laws and company practices.
  • Partner with your manager and various functional groups in defining needs and objectives in areas such as employee relations, retention, performance management, salary review, employee engagement, training, diversity and inclusion.
  • Provide coaching, constructive challenge and advice to managers and staff in relation to employee relations, specifically related to country regulations and expectations.
  • Participate in planning and facilitating of new hire orientation, onboarding, and employee programs in partnership with the global HR team.
  • Partner to support the German employees, including communications, answering employee questions, understanding local and regional needs, and connecting these needs back to the overall organization.
  • Suggest new procedures and policies to continually improve efficiency of the HR department and organization, and to improve employee experience.
  • Partner with HR centres of excellence (Total Rewards, Talent Acquisition, Payroll, Culture & Development, HR Business Partners) on workflows, process improvements, projects and solutions, such as the biannual employee engagement and performance management cycle
  • Help coordinate global HR workflows, including offboarding, immigration, relocation, morale, wellbeing, leave of absence, etc.
  • Maintain compliance with local German employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance; partner with our Worker's Council and provide the right level of support.
  • Navigate employees concerns that may arise in Germany, and throughout EMEA, including following our grievance and disciplinary process; also able to work with other HR business partners to guide them through these processes.

To thrive in this role, you will need:

  • Knowledge & Experience and proven background in Employee Relations and German Labour Law.
  • Degree in Employee Relations / Industrial Relations / Human Resources / Law / Business, or any relevant function.
  • Fluency in German and English is essential
