Team Lead Reporting and Consolidation

As a part of the Group Controlling Team, which consists of 2 sub-teams (Financial Planning & Analysis and Reporting & Consolidation), the position holder will lead and coordinate the group financial consolidation process and ensures timely submission of group financial statements for internal management reporting and external reporting purposes.

Driving forward the development of Cerdia's financial reporting frameworks according to International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) will be also a part of the role.

Major Responsibilities:

Lead and coordinate the group financial consolidation process (i.e. consolidation of 15+ legal entities) and prepare timely and accurate monthly / quarterly / annual reporting of profit & loss, balance sheet and cash flow statements according to International Financial Reporting Standards ("IFRS") for internal and external reporting purposes
Lead the preparation of the annual audited consolidated financial statements of Cerdia International Group according to IFRS including notes
Lead and coordinate the group audit processes, including acting as the key point of contact at group level for external auditors
Act as the central point of contact for Cerdia Group's worldwide subsidiaries and local Finance team with regards to group accounting policies and IFRS accounting issues and provide frequent training. Ensure Cerdia's financial framework reflect latest developments in financial reporting standards
Drive forward the establishment of an effective account reconciliation process at group and local level, providing analysis and commentaries on account substantiation and movements
Accountable for the group chart of accounts, including the definition of account classifications and roll ups in group consolidation systems, compliance with IFRS and internal reporting requirements as well as ensuring an appropriate governance framework for GL account master data creation and changes
As the owner of Cerdia's group consolidation system (Tagetik) and related tools (e.g. Smart Notes), drive forward process and system improvement, focusing on increasing the level of automation in the area of financial reporting and consolidation
Manage projects in the area of reporting and consolidation as well as assistance on projects in adjacent areas
Support the CFO and Head of Group Controlling in adhoc analysis and other internal or external reporting requests
Lead a small team (one direct report)

Qualifications & Experience:

Further requirements:

University degree or equivalent with Finance focus
Strong knowledge in reporting and consolidation, as well as IFRS accounting standards
Handson experience with consolidation tools such as Tagetik
First leadership experience is a plus
Strong team player with excellent communications skills (in English and preferably German); strong in relationship building and stakeholder management
Driven by improving processes and building structures
