Your responsibilities will include:

  • Acting as lead negotiator for complex transactions; supporting public sector tenders (directly and through partners); negotiating, and drafting a wide range of contracts and subcontracts with our client's strategic, enterprise and commercial customers and channel sales partners (distributors & resellers), SaaS, PaaS and IaaS agreements, Enterprise License Agreements, Enterprise Services Agreements, on premises hardware and software agreements, as well as other outbound agreements including professional services, reseller, information security and data privacyrelated agreements
  • Providing timely, proactive, and practical businessoriented legal support to sales organizations as well as finance and other company departments on legal issues and risks, negotiation strategies and deal structures

Experience:


  • Qualified to practice law in Germany (Volljurist)
  • At least 5 years of relevant PQE, preferably inhouse at a technology company supporting sales transactions
  • Experience working across German, Austrian and Swiss jurisdictions
  • Experience in reviewing, drafting & negotiating a variety of IT contracts that underpin our business with the ability to recognize and highlight revenue recognition issues (US GAAP)
  • Experience in German public procurement law and processes
  • A plus if you are experienced in one or more of the following areas: relevant German and EU data privacy, cybersecurity and relevant regulations (e.g., GDPR/BDSG, BSIG, Cybersecurity Act, DORA), intellectual property law, competition law
  • Native German speaker with full professional proficiency in English (additional languages are a plus)
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, as well as drafting and negotiation skills
  • A "Get Things Done" mindset, and ability to find and present simple, practical, and actionable solutions to complex problems
  • Excellent time management, analytical, decisionmaking, and problemsolving skills
  • Ability to thrive in a high performance, fastpaced environment and to multitask, prioritize effectively and execute quickly
  • Ability and interest in developing a deep understanding of our client's product and services portfolio, market segments, value propositions, routes to market, and business models
  • Teamoriented, with a good sense of humor and high level of integrity, responsibility and professionalism, and the ability to collaborate with others on the legal team and cross functionally with finance, operations, support, and export organizations
