Responsibilities:


As the EMEA Reporting Accountant you will manage the reporting activities for Germany and Poland, in collaboration with the EMEA Shared Service Finance Team.

You will ensure all group reporting submissions e.g. weekly sales, monthly actuals, half yearly statutory disclosures are completed accurate and in line with agreed deadlines.


You could be based at our Hamburg or Kempten sites (Germany) or Gliwice (Poland) depending on your location/preference.

  • Preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (HGB/IFRS) for two German and one Polish company.
  • Ensure all group reporting submissions i

e:

weekly sales, monthly actuals or half yearly statutory disclosures are completed accurate and fully in line with agreed deadlines.


  • Completion and filing of annual returns to the relevant public organization, i.e. Commerzbank for Germany.
  • Managing fixed assets for the German and Polish entities, end to end process: maintain FA register in the ERP, with additions and disposals. Process monthly depreciation. Impairment test performed annually and ensure full compliance with leases under IFRS1
  • Contributing to the further development and standardization of documentation and processes at EMEA level
  • Lead & main point of contact for internal and external audits and reviews for the German and Polish companies.
  • Support other areas of finance and reporting, as required.
  • Preparation of recurring and ad hoc reports and evaluations.
  • Work closely with the European Treasury, Fiscal & Payroll team to ensure local tax declarations are completed in a timely manner
  • Limited travel to German/Polish locations.

Qualifications:

  • Detailed understanding of German GAAP and German statutory accounting process.
  • Understanding of IFRS.
  • Reconciliation & corporate reporting experience
  • Good IT skills: Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel.
  • Ideally professional experience in technical trade or industry
  • Very good knowledge of German and English, Polish desirable
  • Ability to work independently and flexibly, whilst using initiative to achieve desired goals
  • Methodical, organized and an eye for detail
  • Good time management
  • Experience in Finance Shared Service Centers and / or in a global, multinational environment
