Within the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering the Institute of Thermal Energy Technology is searching to immediately fill the newly oriented

W2 professorship for "Plant and Apparatus Engineering" (M/F(d)

  • 37298for the sustainable transformation of energy and material conversion processes with and of complex fluids (e.g., hydrogen and ammonia) in interaction with novel materials. The professorship will strengthen the research area of energy technology.
  • Plant and apparatus engineering with corresponding components for the sustainable transformation of energy and material conversion processes (such as machinery, systems, apparatus, and their distribution networks)
  • Development and design of components considering the interaction of novel working fluids (e.g., hydrogen, natural refrigerants, or ammonia) as well as other reactive fluids with novel materials (e.g., recycled materials) concerning process and plant safety under sustainable aspects
  • Development of numerical simulation and optimization methods for engineering in the components
