Postdoc (f/m/x) - Habitats of Massive Stars

Institute for Astrophysics:

A postdoctoral position (f/m/x) is available at the Institute for Astrophysics of the University of Cologne in the field of star formation research in the Collaborative Research Centre 1601, Habitats of Massive Stars.

YOUR TASKS

Lead the characterisation of the thermal structure and feedback effects using interferometric observations of highfeedback regions
Be involved in the investigation of the chemical history and cluster evolution, using input from chemically postprocessed MHD models
Ensure the coordination within the project
Be involved in the supervision of PhD students in the project

YOUR PROFILE

Applicants are required to have a PhD in astrophysics or a related field
Experience in the analysis of molecular spectroscopic data
Good communication skills in an international and diverse environment
Familiarity with modern data analysis methods

The position is available from on a full-time basis (39,83 hours per week). It is limited until If the applicant meets the relevant wage requirements and personal qualifications, the salary will be based on remuneration group 13 TV-L of the pay scale for the German public sector.
