    Our Head of Advertising Monetization (d/f/m) position is an exciting leadership role and we are looking for an experienced and commercially minded Advertising leader with an understanding of the advertising ecosystem and relevant direct and indirect sales channels. You will report into our Director B2C & Advertising with a high level of autonomy and manage a growing team of more than 25 people.

    Together with your experienced team of people managers you will ensure that we maintain our strong revenue delivery via third party channels through constant innovation while transforming the Advertising organisation towards more direct sales channels incl. our newly founded Retail Media business.

    This position is based in our new Berlin Office where you will collaborate closely with your team. Regular travel to other Adevinta hubs in Barcelona, Amsterdam and Paris is expected (<10%).

    What you'll do:

  • You will oversee and lead the Kleinanzeigen Advertising Team consisting of third-party (3P) AdTech & Business Operations, first-party (1P) Sales, Account Management, Partnerships & a dedicated strategic Business Development Team
  • You will be part of the "business customer business unit" leadership team where you will collaborate closely with the lead of our SMB seller proposition to find synergies in addressing business customers
  • You will provide a structured operating environment for the team
  • You will communicate expectations, roles and responsibilities effectively
  • You will set and communicate quarterly objectives for the Advertising team that align with company goals.
  • You will foster functional excellence in Advertising across teams
  • You ensure the achievement of revenue and customer growth targets for 3P and 1P Advertising
  • You will collaborate closely with our Global Advertising, Advertising Product, Technology & analytics leaders to define business requirements for new products
  • You will develop and evolve a holistic advertising strategy that balances yield & revenue across 3P and 1P channels with the need for advertising relevancy on Kleinanzeigen
  • Together with your team you will own and drive Advertising innovation to ensure success in a rapidly changing market landscape (rise of (retail) media networks, 1p data collaboration, third-party cookie deprecation, privacy, AdSense in apps deprecation)

    Who you are:

  • You own a master's degree in business, science or engineering
  • You gained 7+ years experience in leading commercial teams - mainly in 3P and 1P Advertising domain
  • You have the ability to effectively manage a wide range of (senior) stakeholders and act proactively
  • You have a proven track record in defining multi-year strategies and breaking them down into manageable operational plans for teams and proven expertise in handling complex, commercial/advertising negotiations
  • You have a consistent track record of outstanding performance, with the ability to take care of complexity in multifaceted environments
  • You are a team player, down-to-earth with a hands-on personality
  • You have a communication style that brings together people from various backgrounds and you can build to-the-point presentations for different levels within the organisation including top management
  • You are business proficient in English and German (verbal/written)
