    Task description:
The GOPA Worldwide Consultants is looking for international experts for the KfW funded project "Support to Skills Initiative for Africa
  • Financing Facility for Skills Development"
- Phase II", which will be implemented in 8 countries: Cameroon, Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, Nigeria, Tunisia, Togo and South Africa.

Short description of the project ́s objective:

At the continental level, SIFA is contributing towards the African Union's vision for a revitalized, modernized TVET and harmonized policies in Africa, in pursuit of delivering on Agenda 2063 and the UN SDG-4.

The Facility supports sustainable skills development initiatives that can be spread regionally and be incorporated into national strategies with the perspective of improving quality and promoting innovation for employment-oriented skills development.

In addition to satisfying the above eligibility criteria, initiatives supported must directly engage the private sector and address local market needs.


In an effort to support the four key results areas, the Financing Facility has the Objective: "To contribute to enhanced quality and accessibility of employment-oriented training for youth in the Member States of the African Union, through high quality and innovative pilot projects that are implemented in partnership between accredited training institutes and employers".


Qualifications:


  • University degree in education sector, social science, project management, business administration, international management, international economy or similar;
  • More than 7 years of professional experience in international donor funded projects with focus on education sector/TVET and/or grant/fund management and/or procurement management and/or project development and evaluation;
  • Extensive years of experience in working with projects funded by International Financial Institutions (IFIs);
  • Experience in KfWfunded assignments/projects is an asset;
  • Several years of experience in one or several project countries (Cameroon, Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, Nigeria, Tunisia, Togo and South Africa) is an asset;
  • Excellent English languages; French language is an asset
