You are an active part of the Energy Transition in Germany.

Your are closely connected with your internal business partners:
Engineering, Manufacturing, Order Management and Quality Management. You are communicating closely with your suppliers, not only at our facility but are often paying them a visit. SAP is one of your leading tools.

You negotiate not only the price but make sure that under the Total Cost principle the deliveries are done on time.


How You'll Make an Impact

  • Responsibility for the commodities: Fiber Optics, Bypass Switches, Screws and Fittings, C-Parts for the converter plant of the Transmission Solutions BU
  • Definition of the purchasing strategy within the commodities in coordination with the Head of Procurement and our management. Design and Implement a C-Parts strategy
  • Develop and implement measures to increase material productivity (incl. esourcing, global value sourcing, designtocost, etc.)
  • Coordinate and initiate crossfunctional and targeted activities to achieve optimal delivery conditions and savings
  • Independent negotiation of project and framework agreements as well as documentation of their results in relevant IT systems
  • Identification of special procurement risks, opportunities as well as market overview to avoid potential damages or to use opportunities through risk and change management
  • Supplier management

What You Bring

  • University degree in a business or technical field, training with relevant work experience alternatively
  • First professional experience, ideally in the field of (operational) purchasing, commodity management as well as in contract negotiations
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office and SAP
  • Proficiency in German and English
  • Negotiation skills and independent working style, as well as a certain affinity for digitalization
  • First experiences with Business Intelligence Tools (e.g. Tableau, Qlik, Parse...) are an advantage
  • Knowledge of how a plant works could be an advantage
