Beschreibung

Duties:


  • Serves as Shift Supervisor at the Enterprise Satellite Communications Gateway (ESG) providing national, strategic, operational, and tactical satellite communications (SATCOM).
  • Responsible for the overall operations of the shift within the ESG facilities.
  • Provides onthejob training and technical assistance to all newly assigned personnel.
  • Directly supervises approximately 15 employees engaged in 24hour Warfighter Helpdesk work.
  • Responsible for providing briefings.
  • Coordinates the engineering and activation of circuits/systems/networks and equipment in support of daily operations, emergency realworld operations and exercises to test communications and procedures under simulated emergency situations.

Conditions of Employment:


  • Three year trial/probationary period may be required.
  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Top Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain TOP SECRET clearance based on a Tier 5 background investigation with eligibility for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI).
  • In accordance with Change 3 to AR 60085, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, employee must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 10% of the time.
  • Required to perform shift work on a rotational basis.
  • In support of the mission, the incumbent is required to obtain and maintain a NTV driver license for driving Government Owned Vehicles.
  • The employee is required to obtain a DoDD 8570 IAT level II certifications appropriate to assigned duties of the position.
  • Position is designated as MISSION ESSENTIAL in order to perform essential duties defined as critical and essential regardless of weather conditions, emergency situations, or general dismissal.
  • Lifting up to 30 pounds is required.
  • This position requires the completion of a preemployment Physical Examination and an annual examination thereafter to ensure the continued, required level of physical health and ability or fitness to perform the duties of the position.
  • Medical and dental care may be provided by host nation providers. The availability and level of care at host nation medical and dental facilities will vary by location.
  • Selectees may receive certain foreign area benefits such as: Living Quarters Allowance (LQA) or government quarters, home leave, etc.
  • Selectees will have their eligibility for foreign area benefits determined at the time of hire in accordance with Department of State Standardized Regulation (DSSR) and DoDI volume 1250.

  • To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe one year of specialized experience that demonstrates the possession of knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Such experience is typically in or directly related to the work of the position to be filled.

Specialized experience would be demonstrated by civilian or military personnel management, administrative duties, and DoD customer engagement; managing strategic SATCOM equipment, networks, and/or cryptographic equipment; administration of Regional Hub Node (RHN) network and/or systems.
