For our Group Internal Audit (GIA) department, we are seeking to recruit an Internal Auditor (f/m/d) to assist the Heidelberg Materials Group in accomplishing objectives by bringing a systematic, disciplined approach to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of risk management, control, and governance processes.

In this role, you will focus on the area Africa-Eastern Mediterranean Basin (AEM) and Western and Southern Europe (WSE) Areas.

You will report to the Area Director GIA AEM and WSE. The position is located in Heidelberg, Germany.

Your next challenge:

Mission. Assist the Heidelberg Materials Group in accomplishing objectives by bringing a systematic, disciplined approach to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of risk management, control, and governance processes.
Prepare audits. Understand means and targets of processes, analyse related risks and deduce requirements for internal controls. Identify interfaces and relevant technical/economic data as well as data sources and analyse them.
Manage audits. Ensure riskadjusted utilisation of audit resources meet the planned deadline or agree extension. Plan project timing, identify involved personnel, and ensure communication. Identify tests which can be conducted from your office, and obtain all available information.
Conduct analysis. Understand which information must be reported in appropriate wording, even if the auditee's management has different views. In case of weaknesses, clarify issues with the appropriate management level. Condense results straight forward, precise and useroriented (Managing Board and Senior Management). Carry out planned tests and elaborate them based on found results.
Specialize in competence areas. For assigned competence areas (countries or processes), network with Heidelberg Materials staff, keep yourself informed about Best Practices and utilise such information for audit strategies.

Your profile:

MBA / national equivalent, or University degree in relevant sciences.
At least three years of auditing experience in comparable industries and knowledge of audit methodologies and practices.
CIA qualification preferred.
Comfortable in an international environment, which demands an excellent command of English and French languages. Additional knowledge of Italian and/or Spanish is an advantage.
Flexible and used to working with multiple priorities and meeting deadlines.
Willing to travel around 30%40%.
