The metal packaging market is forecasted to grow significantly over the next several years because brand owners continue to choose infinitely recyclable metal packaging solutions over plastic, paperboard, or glass.


  • We are currently looking for a
    Sales and Service Representative for our European Customers. This position is remote and will require travel to customer facilities.

Position Summary:


The Sales and Service Representative will be responsible for managing all key account sales activities for a defined list of accounts in and around Europe.

In addition to sales responsibilities, the Sales and Service Rep will also support the technical service initiatives in the region, being a resource to our customers in production critical situations.

The Sales and Service Representative will be an integral part of the sales team, helping to give feedback on strategy, influencing the P&L results on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis, and delivering against the business objectives.


Responsibilities:


  • Manage key account sales activities, as well as customer plant responsibilities, for a specified list of accounts:
  • Execution of account management strategy
  • Relationship building at all levels of the customer organization, with a focus on plant leadership personnel
  • Win new business opportunities by identifying customer needs at the plant level
  • Gather innovative ideas from the customer and plants to help drive DRT's R&D strategy
  • Support sustainability initiatives helping to further drive adoption of Metal Packaging solutions in the market
  • Manage key plant technical service activities for a specified list of customer plant locations:
  • Troubleshoot and problem-solve field issues, working online to ensure customers are achieving the highest level of efficiency.
  • Collect samples and send with appropriate information back to R&D laboratory.
  • Proactively audit facilities that are under contract for a DRT service program.
  • Primary liaison with the customer to identify and resolve technical problems, including stepping in to troubleshoot online.
  • Ensure common presence in customer plants, offices, and DRT Plant to ensure we are meeting our customer's needs.
  • Plan and execute trials of new parts to meet customer and DRT objectives.
  • Be proactive in meeting customer needs, finding new business opportunities, and executing on DRT's strategy.
  • Grow and manage a new business pipeline to drive innovation and growth with a specified customer base.
  • Enter call, trip, and service reports into the CRM within 2448 hours after each visit.
  • Gather and log market and competitive intelligence into the CRM.
  • Complete expense reports in a timely manner consistent with DRT expense policy.
  • Selfdisciplined to maintain proactive and frequent customer visits.
  • Maintain a safe work environment

Minimum Requirements:


Associate degree or equivalent from two-year College or technical school, or 7-10 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.


Preferred Requirements:


Bachelor's Degree and/or 5-10 years' work experience in the metal packaging industry, either at plant or corporate level; or, combination of both.

Multilingual in English, German, or another language would be beneficial.
