    How You Can Make a Difference:

    As a Commercial Optimisation Engineer, your role involves continuously enhancing the economic performance of facilities by optimizing process settings to achieve planned operations. You will analyze potential weaknesses, define process limits, and develop optimization measures. Additionally, you will contribute to the strategic advancement of plant operations and assist in the enhancement of our planning tools.

    Your Challenging and Forward-Looking Responsibilities:
    • Optimizing daily operations based on process monitoring and commercial targets to maximize facility utilization
    • Conducting mass and energy balances, comparing LP representations, and monitoring energy, fouling, and catalysts
    • Independently developing and initiating optimization measures within operating limits
    • Building, calibrating, and using process simulations to identify optimization opportunities and as a basis for planning
    • Conducting and overseeing test runs and data collection
    • Leading the Constraint Management process by defining and documenting plant and LP limits
    • Identifying potential weaknesses and analyzing them for efficiency, reliability, and availability
    • Generating project ideas from daily operations insights and through networking both internally and externally, supporting project implementation
    • Assisting operations in troubleshooting and coordinating process actions to ensure safe and reliable operations
    • Preparing and supporting plant shutdowns
    Your Qualifications - Strong and Passionate:
    • Degree in engineering or natural sciences (e.g., Chemical or Process Engineering) or equivalent academic background
    • Preferably 5 years of relevant experience in refinery or petrochemical environments
    • Good business acumen
    • Excellent communication and organizational skills
    • Ability to make sound decisions in risky and unclear situations
    • Knowledge of HSSEQ systems and requirements
    • Proficiency in common Office programs, especially MS Excel
    • Good intercultural competence
    • High level of commitment
    • Fluency in German (min. C1) and good written and spoken English (min. B2)
