regionally networked university W1 Junior Professorship "Design and Control

with a strong research profile. of Sustainable Bioprocesses" (M/F/d)
The focus of the junior professorship will be on the experimental and theoretical characterization of biotechnological
processes for the production of biopolymers, as well as the development of model-based concepts for the optimal
design and control of these processes at the interface to control/automation technology. Active interdisciplinary
cooperation is expected within the framework of the Dynamic Systems Research Center (CDS) and the SmartProSys
research initiative of Otto von Guericke University and the Max Planck Institute in Magdeburg.

The prerequisite for appointment is an above-average relevant doctorate, basic knowledge in the field of control and
automation technology, as well as sound knowledge in the field of theoretical and experimental analysis of microbial
processes for the production of biopolymers. In terms of teaching, the junior professorship will be involved in teaching
relevant courses on the modeling and control of bioprocesses in the Master's degree courses at the Faculty of
Electrical Engineering and Information Technology. The teaching load consists of 2 semester hours per week. The
junior professorship is initially limited to 3 years and can be extended for a further 3 years if the interim evaluation is
positive.

Assistant Professorship (W1) Formal prerequisites for the appointment of Assistant Professors are stated in - 40 of
the Higher Education Act for the Federal State of Saxony-Anhalt (Hochschulgesetz Sachsen-Anhalt; HSG LSA), the
limitation in HSG LSA.
