JLL supports the Whole You, personally and professionally.

We are looking for a Compliance Officer.
The Compliance Officer supports the EMEA Head of Compliance across the entire JLL business (e.g. Agency, Investment, Project & Development Services) and all support functions (e.g. Finance, HR, IT Services, Procurement).

This primary role is to primarily support the Northern Europe country cluster (Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Denmark, Sweden, Finland), as well as collaborating with the EMEA and Global Compliance team on projects for JLL's regional/Global Compliance proram, as directed by Head of Compliance.

It manages compliance processes locally, addresses the countries' queries, and is a key point of contact locally (for resolution or escalation).

What this job involves
You will work with other EMEA/Global Legal & Compliance colleagues to deliver parts of the EMEA/Global Compliance Programme.

This main activities and responsibilities include:


Anti-Financial Crime - Advising on JLL policies and procedures (such as on Gifts & Hospitality, suspicious activity reporting, fair competition, supplier due diligence).

Know Your Client - Ensuring due diligence procedures are followed in all Business Units, including undertaking research where required. Advising on and managing Anti-Money Laundering and sanctions checks.

Contract-to-Billing - Providing compliance advice regarding the completion of the Contract-to-Billing process (including creating engagements/opportunities in CRM systems).


Compliance Contracting:

Assisting local Counsel on drafting and negotiating clauses with respect to Anti-Financial Crime, Data Protection, Financial Services and Regulation, and Ethics.

Training & Communications - Contributing to and delivering training on relevant compliance matters. Preparing guidance documents and team communications. Helping in chasing completion of training.


Auditing and testing - Analysing data, reviewing files to gauge compliance, and then assist on any remediation / improvement activities.


Conflicts of Interests - Advising on potential conflicts of interests (personal and corporate), assisting with obtaining informed consent and implementation of information barriers.


Industry / Sector Ambassador - Representing JLL in meetings with other Compliance Professionals within the real estate industry in Northern Europe.

Keeping abreast of regulatory developments and initiatives.


Compliance Processes - Administering compliance processes across the business, such as whistleblowing and investigations, and responding to client tenders / questionnaires / audits.

A recognised formal Legal / Compliance qualification is beneficiary.

Experience within financial or professional services is important. Additional experience in real estate is desirable, but not mandatory.

Willingness to learn, to attend training courses, and to share learnings with colleagues.

Good knowledge of SharePoint, MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and MS Outlook, MS Teams.

Demonstrate confidence in your ability, and anticipate what is needed.

Develop good working relationships within the Legal & Compliance and JLL teams.

Excellent spoken and written communication skills, capable of dealing with colleagues of all seniority.

Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision.

Team player who deals effectively with colleagues and clients.

Proven organisation skills.
