We are looking for:


A skilled and motivated Scientist (M/F/d) to join our R&D CLD team, dedicated to cell line development for production of therapeutics in the area of hematology and immunology.


Your Role and Responsibilities:


  • Design cell line development projects and perform key activities associated with production cell line development including transfection, selection, single cell cloning, high throughput screening and characterization of clonal cell lines
  • Plan, execute and analyze cell line development campaigns for generating production clones to be used for preclinical and clinical manufacturing of therapeutic proteins
  • Further develop our clone generation platforms, based on HEK 293F and CHO cells, including expression vector development and clone screening workflows, by implementing innovative technologies
  • Develop and optimize bioprocesses on the ambr15 micro bioreactor system
  • Establish moleculespecific expression strategies by engineering cell lines towards improved protein production employing stateoftheart gene editing technologies
  • Provide advice and expertise for fellow Research Associate colleagues on daily basis
  • Initiate scientific discussions in the team and conduct literature research for implementing recent scientific and technological developments in our workflows
  • Present scientific concepts and data as well as report on project progress in internal and external meetings

Your Qualifications and Education:


  • You hold a PhD degree in biochemistry, biotechnology, biology or related discipline
  • You have a strong background in molecular and cell biology as well as a profound documented record of experience with the development of recombinant mammalian cell lines
  • Experience with automated liquid handling systems and ambr15 micro bioreactors is a plus
  • You possess very good communication skills as well as scientific writing and documentation competencies
  • You value and live to a high degree of responsibility, reliability, autonomy, and team orientated mindset
You are creative and eager to solve scientific challenges while coordinating your efforts with your team colleagues. You make space for in-depth analysis of your results to perform the experiment that will make the difference.
