For our AMETEK CTS business unit, we are looking for a Trade Compliance Specialist (M/F/d) at our location in Kamen (NRW, Germany) limited for 2 years.

Key Responsibilities of the Trade Compliance Specialist (M/F/d) include:

Drive operational support and best-in-class standards for the Local AMETEK CTS entities in terms of customs, tariffing,

origin calculation, logistics processes (import/export) and export control classification;

Advise logistics, procurement and customer care on customs procedures (Zollverfahren), preferential calculations,

HS codes (Zolltarifierung) and dual-use classifications;

Train employees in customs, Incoterms, rules of origin and customs tariffing;
Collaborate with and communicate to our logistics team, external forwarders and Trade Compliance Specialist
Contribute to customs and export control audits and internal risk reviews
Drive improvements in ERP regarding Export & Import requirements in close cooperation with IT department;
Carry out internal audits (internal control system) on trade compliance aspects

(incoterms, HS codes, preferential origin correctness, import and export efficiency)

Position Requirements:

Education as a forwarding agent (Speditionskaufmann (m/w/d) with further training and experience as foreign trade specialist or customs specialist
Several years of experience (57 years) in Export and Import topics
Very good knowledge of customs classification, origin (preferential, nonpreferential law), customs procedures,

Swiss/ US/ UK and EU customs regulations, export controls, Microsoft Navision and AEB Trade Compliance Software

Very good knowledge of free trade agreements with EU and EFTA and experience in project management
Proactive, independent, communicative, team player, flexible and motivated
Effective communication skills
Fluent in German as well as in English
