Your Role- Design and build optical and opto-mechatronic systems Together with the rest of the InnoHub team, think innovation holistically beyond pure technology to generate new business opportunities for ZEISS- Initiate and steer projects with external partners, incl.
Your Profile- University degree in life sciences, medicine, STEM, or technology and innovation management, ideally with a PhD- In-depth expertise in technical optics/ photonics, ideally incl.
femto-second lasers- Profund experience in building optical systems in a lab- Good understanding of advanced imaging methods, e.g., microscopy or OCT- Ideally understanding of image processing incl.
AI- Experience in supervising (PhD) students- An independent and systematic way of working as well as very good organizational skills- Fluent English language skills, a hands-on mentality, an open mind, excellent problem-solving, communication and innovation skills as well as a clear user focus- Passion for innovation and enthusiasm for new technologies as well as fun working in agile, interdisciplinary teams.
