Summary:
The Accountant will be dealing with the E2E accounting responsibilities for the DACH Region.
Key Responsibilities:
Be responsible of accounting activities, tax (VAT, income tax returns ), and legal affairs.
Some of responsibilities include but not only:
- Prepare the monthly group reporting (P&L, balance sheet and cash flow).
- The establishment and filing of the local and intra-community VAT listings;
- The establishment and filing of the local and intra-community VAT listings;
- Definition of the tax provision on an annual basis;
- Preparation of the annual accounts, according to each DACH country requirements and approvals needed;

- Communicate constantly with other teams to have an updated record of all the expenses for each section.
- Compute taxes owed and prepare tax returns, ensuring compliance with payment, reporting, or other tax requirements.
- Develop, implement, modify, and document recordkeeping and accounting systems, making use of current computer technology.
- Manage and detail the whole office related expenses for Germany, Austria and Switzerland (material, travel, hotels, etc.)
Experience Profile:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
- Proven experience in accounting within a business environment.
- Familiarity with German and EU regulations for accounting and taxation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in German and English.
Competencies:
- Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both German and English.
- Attention to Detail: High level of attention to detail, especially when preparing and reviewing financial documents.
- Computer Proficiency: Proficiency in accounting software, databases, and financial analysis software.
- Ethical Conduct: High ethical standards and professionalism, given the sensitive nature of the information accountants deal with.
