To strengthen our agile life science team, we are looking for a motivated student worker to collaborate with our research and development scientists:


  • A handson student who loves precision mechanics and sophisticated electronics
  • Enthusiastic about technology and science
  • Student in physics, engineering, chemistry or related science, or equivalent education
  • Good communication and teamwork skills in an international environment
  • Availability around 10h per week
  • Language skills in English and German
Your tasks and responsibilities will be diverse and exciting, with the opportunity to participate in product development projects in a highly motivated multi-disciplinary team:

  • Supporting our scientists to complete experiments in the laboratory
  • Working in a team together with engineering to build prototypes
  • Testing new devices (electronics, mechanics and ion optics)
  • Handling vacuum equipment like fore vacuum pumps and turbo molecular pumps
  • Supporting by testing instruments according to the test protocols
  • Conducting data evaluation tasks by using a programming language
  • Developing instrument control software procedures to support research and production
