- Design, develop and maintain scaled, automated, user-friendly systems, reports, dashboards, that will support the needs of the business.
- Apply deep analytic and business intelligence skills to extract meaningful insights and learning from large and complex data sets.
- Be hands-on with ETL to build data pipelines supporting automated reporting.
- Serve as liaison between the business and technical teams to provide actionable insights into current business performance, and ad hoc investigations to support future improvements or innovations. This will require data gathering and manipulation, problem solving, and communication of insights and recommendations.
- Build various data visualizations to tell the story of business trends, patterns, and outliers.
- Recognize and adopt best practices in reporting and analysis: data integrity, test design, analysis, validation, and documentation.
- Experience building measures and metrics, and developing reporting solutions
- Experience with SQL
- Experience programming to extract, transform and clean large (multiTB) data sets
- Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools
- Experience working directly with business stakeholders to translate between data and business needs
- Experience managing, analyzing and communicating results to senior leadership
- Experience using Cloud Storage and Computing technologies such as AWS Redshift, S3, Hadoop, etc.
- Experience in scripting for automation (e.g. Python) and advanced SQL skills.

Amazon Deals are an integral part of the Amazon shopping experience, responsible for a multi-billion-dollar business. We are a key element of events like Prime Day or Black Friday. Hundreds of millions of customers use our features.We partner with teams throughout the Amazon ecosystem to optimize deal ingestion, enhance classification and ranking of deals, expand deal discovery throughout the site, and to raise the bar for the best customer experience on mobile app, web, desktop.
As a Business Intelligence Engineer, you will lead the design, implementation, and delivery of BI solutions in the complex and ambiguous problem space that is Deals.
