About the role


As Senior HR Director Germany & Hungary you have overall responsibility for the professional, strategic and operational development of all HR-related topics at Nexperia Germany & Hungary.

You ensure HR practices, processes and policies are applied in accordance with local legislation and global HR guidelines. In this role you manage industrial relations and lead local negotiation processes, i.e. collective labor agreement and represents Nexperia HR (externally) in the country in close partnership with the country leader.


The Senior HR Director Germany & Hungary manages the HR Generalists, Local specialists and Payroll teams, and is responsible to optimal and consistent allocation of support towards HR Business Partners.

What you will do

  • Collaborate with international HR management, German country management, and international business management to understand the company's objectives and strategy related to staffing, recruitment, and retention
  • Plan, lead, develop, coordinate, and implement policies, processes, local training, initiatives, and surveys to support compliance with company HR policies and strategies
  • Engage and collaborate with the works council
  • Initiate and assist with disciplinary matters, disputes and investigations, performance and talent management, productivity, recognition and morale, occupational health and safety, and training and development
  • Assist in the development and implementation of best practices for hiring and talent management from a German perspective
  • Conduct research and analysis of organizational trends
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with local labor laws and regulations
  • Track trends, procedures, regulatory changes, and new technologies in the areas of human resources, talent management, and labor law; advise senior leadership
  • Promote professional development, and training of employees in the Human Resources department
  • What you will need
  • Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or similar
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant and successful experience in managing an international HR organization and local teams
  • Good knowledge of HR management within a manufacturing company
  • Strong knowledge both as HR generalist as well as strategic and conceptual thinking
  • International minded and winning personality with future orientation and optimism; downtoearth and strong communication skills
  • Entrepreneurial thinking as well as pragmatic ability to act and make decisions
  • Assertiveness as well as a solutionoriented, structured and goaloriented way of working
  • Expert in change management and prudence to "take along" all employees and stakeholders in the process
  • High sense of accuracy and result orientation
  • Curiosity and open mind to different perspectives
  • Ability to navigate in a matrix organization
