Your role and your team:


Reporting to the Head of Quality Operations, you will manage the operational Quality Inspection team during day to day business in Lilium's Production Organization, Coordinating Inspection's and Certifying Staff activities according to lilium shop floor and flight test need's in line with EASA Part 21.G, FAA 14CFR Part 21.G and EN9100 requirements.


Your Day to Day:


  • Operational leadership of the Quality Inspection Management team with up to 10 team members to ensure allocation of the resources in a time and cost efficient way while obtaining high company quality standards.
  • Managing the daytoday activities of the team and delegating the tasks to team members to secure the business needs.
  • Drive a solution oriented collaboration with associated production departments in practical problem solving, guidance and support to meet production planning demands for attestation of manufactured parts and final release to service attestation acc. to aviation standards and laws.
  • Operational Surveillance of Quality Inspection Team and product manufacturing cells.
  • Managing awareness and defining priorities together with related stakeholders to have the required attestation needs as well as Release to Service activities done.
  • Contribute to Control Plan development and implementation of inspection plans into Lilium manufacturing process.
  • Recording, processing and evaluation of quality and inspection escapes in terms of nonconformity reports and concessions and initiate in conjunction with quality conformance team the corrective/preventive action plan.
  • Review and continuous monitor the Concession and NC ́s work flow to have an efficient process for Production Organization.
  • Coordinate daytoday inspection and support demands within the Quality organization and our production teams.
  • Analyze and review the production key characteristics and conduct periodic quality reviews.
  • Support the Production Organization departments to develop, approve and control the production inspection planning, methods and technologies for constant improvement on the individual inspection plans.
  • Improve methods and technologies along the control plan including feedback on required control plan corrections/improvements to quality process management.
  • Active mentoring and training during day to day business of team members and associated departments in topics concerning Quality and Aviation Regulations for Production.
  • Support internal audits program and conduct operational surveillance in accordance with EASA Part 21.G and 14CFR Part 21.G regulations, and EN9100 standard for Production Organization's.

Your Profile:


  • Bachelors degree in Engineering or technical degree in Aerospace similar to Part66 B1/B2/C
    desired

  • Good knowledge of Certifying Staff responsibilities is a
    must.
  • Leadership experience in managing operational Teams
    required.
  • Min 5 years of experience in
    Quality Inspection under POA is a must.
  • Technical experience and certain degree of knowledge in electronic, mechanic as well as composite desired.
  • Experience with Aviation Regulations, with a certain level of knowledge on process and requirements to obtain a Production Organization Approval.
  • Good level of understanding to flight safety and risk management needs.
  • Proactive, good communicator and able to gain credibility across all levels of the organization.
  • Strong motivation to help build and shape your organization, structures and processes.
  • Fluent English language skills are essential, fluent German or any other language would be beneficial.
