Your tasks:


We are looking for a research assistant/doctoral student who will support the project "Sustainable Finance Law in Europe - Navigating between Regulation, Contractual Practice, Litigation, and Regulatory Competition (SaiLEur)" in all its aspects besides writing a PhD thesis.

SaiLEur is a Leibniz Junior Research Group that analyses sustainable finance law in Europe, i.e. the rules linking financial markets and environmental, social, and governance (ESG) goals. The project will assess the four interrelated layers EU regulation, contractual practice, litigation, and regulatory competition (. The research assistant/doctoral student will conduct research both, autonomously and in the team.


Your profile:


  • Completed studies in law with excellent results
  • Keen interest in the project, financial markets and their regulation, and interdisciplinary research
  • Ability to work independently
  • Flexibility and team work
  • Fluency in English and German (further language skills are advantageous)
  • Coding skills in Python are advantageous, but not necessary

Compensation will be 70% of a full time position in accordance with the standards of the public services wage agreement of the State of Hesse (TV-H E 13).

The employment contract has an initial duration of up to 3 years depending on the state of qualification.
