EIT Urban Mobility is an initiative of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT), a body of the European Union and Europe's largest network for transport innovation in cities.
Using cities as living labs, our industry, research and university partners will demonstrate how new technologies can work to solve real problems in real cities by transporting people, goods and waste in smarter ways.
About Innovation Hub Central
Innovation Hub Central is the office that EIT Urban Mobility has in Munich (Germany).
It aims to engage all relevant stakeholders in the field of urban mobility situated in the countries covered by our geography.
Our goal is to form an excellence community working together to solve the mobility challenges facing our cities.About the job:
Are you passionate about the transition to a sustainable mobility in our cities? Do you want to contribute to create more liveable urban spaces? Do you have good communication skills, (near-) native level of German and proficiency in English?
The
Communication and Events Intern will be based in Munich and support the Innovation Hub Central Team in managing the Innovation Hub Central partnership and wider eco-system.
Tasks will include:
- Support communication activities with a focus on Germany
- Support in the organisation of meetings and events, being involved in all the phases of their preparations
- Support in press coverage of our activities and events, including the production of press releases and contacts with German media and journalists
- Support in the publication of inputs for our websites, pieces of news and social media posts, related to our activities and the projects that we cofund
- Support in the preparation of different communication materials and merchandise and their translation from English to German
- Support in keeping our contact databases and coworking platforms up to date
What you will bring along the way:
Must-Have:
Sector Experience:
University student, especially from communications, social sciences, or a mobility related study field.
Education Level:
BA or MA level
Languages:
Written and spoken English (C1).
(Near-) native German speaker.
Special interest and skills:
Communications, namely social media; events organisation; open to work in an international environment and complex organisation; Proactiveness, flexibility and multi-tasking skills
Nice-To-Have:
- Command of any other European languages.
- Experience in urban mobility or related industries.
