Internship Position:
Image Processing, Machine Vision & Hardware Control (M/F/d)**Location: Tutzing

microphotonX GmbH is a biotech start-up in the south of Munich. We develop and distribute an innovative new diagnostic system for analysis of biological and medical samples.

Our Biospex Analyser uses a unique laser technology and AI methods that allows to get much faster and more accurate results.

With our novel approach, we aim to help health professionals to reach rapid and effective therapy decisions.

For the development of our newest product line Biospex 3.0, we are looking for a highly motivated intern to support our internal experts.

Your tasks:

Develop and test image processing algorithms for our products
Contribute to the design and implementation of hardware control software for our devises
Assist with testing and troubleshooting of hardware and software components
Document project progress, results and findings

Your profile:

Enrolled in a degree program related to computer science, electrical engineering or a related field
Strong understanding of image processing techniques and algorithms
Experience with computer vision and pattern recognition concepts and algorithms
Experience with OpenCV and other related image processing libraries is an added advantage
Proficiency in programming with Python and C/C++ or Rust
Familiarity with software development for hardware device control
Knowledge of Linux driver development or interfacing in Rust is a plus
Team player who is willing to learn and experiment with new ideas
Strong analytical and problemsolving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
German is a plus
