The ZEISS Digital Partners unit based in Germany, Hungary, India and China - is developing and implementing cutting-edge digital and data solutions jointly with the Segments and Markets of the ZEISS Group.

For our office in Munich we are looking for an ambitious, down to earth and pragmatic professional.

About the Job

Responsibilities:

Lead the engineering & platform team and ensure the success of the overarching GenAI strategy and roadmap by prioritizing & realizing business requirements
Manage the GenAI model catalogue and align the data source integration pipeline to the GenAI solutions with agile product squads and business, D&A and CIT units
Support the team in the agile development process with multiple agile squads, encouraging strong delivery focus
Design and coordinate the technical and professional development of team members by mentoring, coaching, and conducting employee appraisals
Cocreate a culture of innovation and continuous learning as well as a collaborative and inclusive culture in line with our company values

Requirements:

An excellent university degree (PhD is a plus) in natural science, mathematics, computer science, engineering or similar
At least 5 years of professional experience in a digital platform or product ownership role and at least 2 years of professional experience in a similar team leading position in a crossfunctional setup or environment with clear ownership for a (digital) product and delivery responsibility
A deep understanding of foundational and large language models and the vision and handson mindset to make your ideas come to life in ZEISS solutions
Strong experience in software engineering management, a background in software development (Python, git, MS Azure DevOps) and familiarity with agile methods
Ability to understand customer needs, solve realworld problems and to prepare, communicate and discuss complex technical facts in the operational environment
Openminded, flexible and proven ability to interact with interdisciplinary and international teams
Strong communication, presentation, and project management skills paired with empathy to easily navigate corporate, as well as managerial / business and tech environments
Fluent English and advanced German language skills
