CureVac SE is a global biopharmaceutical company researching and developing novel drugs based on the natural molecule Messenger RNA (mRNA).

Our focus is on prophylactic vaccines, innovative cancer immunotherapies and protein-based therapies.

Currently, all _RNA people _are striving to achieve our main goal:
To bring multiple best-in-class mRNA drugs to market.

To strengthen our team in Tübingen near Stuttgart, we are currently looking to recruit a
Research Scientist (w/m/d) Nucleic Acid Chemistry

Your Responsibilities:

Design, management, and execution of research projects on RNA technology
Development or scouting and evaluation of novel ideas, strongly considering intellectual property matters
Coordination of collaborations with academic and industrial partners
Written and oral presentations of research results to various audiences
Technical supervision of technicians

Your Qualifications:

PhD or equivalent degree in chemistry
Strong handson experience in solution phase nucleoside and nucleotide synthesis and phosphatecoupling chemistry
Broad knowledge in diverse analysis techniques for small molecules and nucleic acids (e.g. (m)RNA)
Research background in (m)RNA metabolism and translational control is a plus
Excellent team spirit, communication, and presentation skills
Fluency in English
