Responsibilities:

The Systems Administrator(Germany) will perform integration, installation and configuration of system hardware, COTS and proprietary software, and network components (including Wifi).

This will be an EXPAT assignment.
Must be able to provide proof of residency in United States.
Position can be based in US until travel / relocation is approved, but relocation to Germany is required.
This position also requires TESA approval (Technical Expert Status) from the German authorities.

Must have

current/active DoD Secret Clearance or be able to obtain

Must possess

CompTIA Security + certification (or comparable certification) or be able to obtain within 2 months of start to maintain position.

What you will do:

Solid MS Windows 10 and Windows Server installation, configuration and administration
Working knowledge of hardware, software, supporting both wired and wireless solutions.
Advanced knowledge of VMWare products to include VSphere, VCenter, VMotion; supporting both installation and maintenance activities.
Functional knowledge of NetApp appliances and integration with VMWare.
Installation, configuration of antenna and wireless PDA, digital cameras and biometric capture devices such as fingerprint readers
Create and maintain documentation on all processes and procedures for support and disaster recovery operations
Knowledge of biometric hardware devices is preferred.
Provide classroom and field end user training in use of equipment and systems.
Perform detailed software and hardware testing.
Experience enhancing computer security by modifying OS configurations to ensure users can perform all functions needed, but no additional privileges(least privilege).
Building software images from scratch and disseminate
Diagnose technical problems by working with the end user, opening trouble tickets with vendors and assisting in shipping parts back to manufacturers.
Troubleshoot, maintain and customize software and hardware to meet support and customer requirements.
Installing, configuring and maintaining a Microsoft Windows based infrastructure, to include supporting Active Directory domain controllers, Group Policy Objects, DNS servers, Certificate services, and virtualization of servers.
Oversee the manufacturer's maintenance agreement/warranty on all equipment used

Qualifications:

BS 57 Years, MS 35, PhD 0
Must have
current/active DoD Secret Clearance or be able to obtain
Must possess
CompTIA Security + certification (or comparable certification) or be able to obtain within 2 months of start to maintain position.
Perform research and make recommendations for purchase of COTS hardware and software products.
Experience with Mobile management tool such as SOTI and Virtualization technology is a plus

OTHER:

Extensive independent travel by POV and other conveyances may be required.
Job will be performed primarily on US Military facilities throughout Europe.
Knowledge of military etiquette and protocol and ability to interface with customers at all ranks and position levels desired.
Able and willing to perform required administrative functions required by primary contractor, US Government, and host nation governments.
Must be able to obtain local driver's license and must be willing to drive in the host country.
Must be able to climb ladder(s) to install antennas and WAP
Must be flexible on duty hours may be required to work some evenings, weekends, and holidays as mission dictates.
Working knowledge of US Military is a plus.
Must be able to work outdoors and lift up to 70 pounds.
Must be able and willing to work in small multicultural team environment.
Position requires person who can perform job duties independently under general direction only, and with exceptional maturity and integrity.
Must be able to provide support to client and end users in contingency event.
